A. Bruce Dickson is owner and Registered Principal of Dickson Financial Advisors, LLC. In 1991, he started his career in the financial services industry with New England Financial, and in 1997 along with a partner, formed a financial planning firm in El Dorado County. In 2008, he established the boutique firm of Dickson Financial Advisors, LLC, to better afford his clients the one on one personal service they deserve. The cornerstone of Bruce’s practice is based in the relationships he develops with his clients and associates. He prides himself in the quality of the communication he has with his clients, and his ability to serve their needs in an effective and efficient manner. His practice continues to grow because of the continued personal recommendations of his business associates and clients.
As an active and proud member of his community, Bruce has served as a Director of Marshall Medical Center, a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and a representative of the Campaign for Community Wellbeing. He has served his community through his affiliation with the Placerville Kiwanis Club, the Planned Giving Advisory Council (part of the El Dorado Community Foundation), The Marshall Foundation for Community Health (past President), Future Chefs of El Dorado Foundation, Cameron Park Community Advisory Board, and as a life member of Sierra Wildlife Rescue. He has also served as an active fundraiser for the many organizations listed, including as Co-Chair of the Emergency Room Capital Campaign for Marshall Medical Center.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, a Personal Financial Planning Certificate through the University of California at Davis, and earned the AIF®, (Accredited Investment Fiduciary®) designation from Fi360. Professionally, he is a Registered Securities Principal (FINRA Series 24), with Cambridge Investment Research, has an insurance license through the California Department of Insurance, and is a member of the Financial Services Institute. As an Officer of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ), he supervises the regulatory conduct of other financial advisors with Cambridge Investment Research, and is the Principal of Dickson Financial Advisors, LLC.
Serving as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Bruce has a thorough knowledge of and ability to apply best fiduciary practices. Bruce resides with his wife, Glenda, and their unending amounts of rescued animals, on their homestead of six acres in Camino, California.
